Degradation
Monday, October 5, 2009
Hey there.

About a month or so to Os.
3 weeks actually.
I'm looking forward to it,
yet I'm not quite.

Hopefully I'll be able to do a full round of revision,
during the two week study break with study buddies haha.

A lovebird flew into my house on Sunday morning.
It's very cute and as the name suggest, lovely.
Can't wait for my Mom to get back tomorrow to see the bird,
she's flying back from Switzerland.
..That's really far away.

***

Homily on Sunday was good.
I had the same sentiments and thought,
but I believe what was said had never been better mixed with history, facts and reality.
The world is living,
the ancient greek, referred to Earth as Gaia.
In other words, the Earth is something that's living.
Creatures can cease to exist on the Earth,
but Gaia still lives on.

We have dogs, cats, birds, fishes as pets.
So many live examples in the zoo.
Humans were created to take care of this creatures.
We're given a privilege and responsibility.
Nevertheless,
It's an eyesore to see the planet being devastated with heavy industries,
desertification has become common in many forests around the world.

Well, I don't remember so many natural disasters happening when I was in Kindergarden.
Either I was too oblivious to world issues,
or they never really did happen so often.
In the last week,
or past few days rather,
The world has seen Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Typhoons and more earthquakes.

We are beginning to over-dominate the planet,
the global population sees an exponential increase.
This is wrong cause we're increasing,
while the other animals decrease and the environment degrades.

The natural disasters are only the signs of Gaia revolting.
It's something other than just plate tectonics,
and global atmospheric processes.

It is essential that we make a move,
cause it is not the air that's getting denser,
causing us to be unable to see.
Rather, It is ourselves that are getting denser.

J.
