Hey There,
here are the notes I gathered to share.
The session was about Forgiving others.

Here are 2 reasons why God wants us to forgive.

1) Offended people disqualify themselves from God's given destiny

2) Offended people give up opportunities for God to shape their Character


Facts about Forgiveness

- Forgiveness is not a feeling. It's a decision

- Forgiveness is not aan excuse of offence

- Forgiveness is not earned*
Eg: A criminal and jail is paying his debt, he is not necessarily forgiven

- Forgiveness is not conditional

- Forgiveness is not about forgetting the offence

- Forgiveness does not mean you have to trust that person again

- Willingness to forgive is the most important. How-to will come later



Steps to Forgive

- Identify specifically why you were hurt

- Ask God to change the perspective of the situation

- Stop replaying the scene in your head.

- Stop forming fresh arguements

- Stop telling others to win support. Only tell your situation to someone who will challenge you to do the Godly thing.

- Pray for the that person. Pray for the blessings of that person
