Being a student isn't that easy,

the pressure is all on you.

Alone in the room till late at night,

with the same four walls all in sight.

With just a suggestion of "taking a break"

I am given a tight slap that burns my face.

Reprimanded till the sky turns dark,

..When is this ever going to end?

If I'm hopeless than save your breath,

Please don't force me to jump off this building.

Lying on the bed, clearing my thoughts,

what is going to be of me in the future?

My journey in life has still got a long way to go

..And i don't wish for my future to be hopeless.

You want me to do my best, you want me to study hard,

it's like losing the war before it even begins.

All i want is just to climb the top of the mountains,

..And scream it out loud : I can not take it.

How i evny that brain that Einstein possess,

Will it be possible for an exchange?

Chicken Essence, Herbal soup, .. They all don't work.

And all i work for is the zero at the End-Of-Years Exam.

Tests are horrible, examinations are flunked,

Let's lodge a complain!

All the schools are the same,

tell me, what am i to do?

This is my life, it is the way it is.

Everythings all on me,

I just have no hope,

My future is dim..

How miserable I am.

..Does this reflect a typical Singapore student's life?

I can relate to it some how,

and the original thing was in chinese,

yet i could relate the meaning of the song so well.

I have to keep up.
