RAFFLES MODEL UNITED NATIONS 2008 !

The delegate of the Czech Republic feels that his first week of holiday was fruitful to the goals that had been suggested, but not limited to fun, joy, laughter and experience especially from the Raffles Model United Nations Conference.

The delegate would like to remind the council that..

gah, i think i had enough of this kind of speech. It was really fun though. Okay, for day one and two of RMUN i was pretty blur. I had my own resolution to the topic of curbing the illicit drug trade and i managed to pull all the poorer countries two my stance, maybe around 5 people. After which, i met a very nice person. The delegate of Egypt, who decided to incoperate my resolution into theirs along with vietnam and Nepal. Well, that was how the bloc that i'm very happy to be in, was formed. Throughout the whole topic of the first issue, i wouldn't have been enlightened without the help of the delegate of Egypt, Junyi.

Anyhow, i was also really glad to have people there being so cheery and making RMUN all the more fun. ESPECIALLY the delegate of Nigeria who was awarded the most horniest delegate award and also the delegate of China! Whom i approached and decided to talk to regarding the support of my resolution. He was really friendly ! Well, my bloc was especially great i guess, but at the same time, i knew i was lost somewhere somehow.

I know how to speak, i know that i can speak, i just lacked the knowledge.

Maybe juggling too many things at once isn't the right idea to go for, since you might not achieve the best out of it. I was juggling between Cadet drill instructor course(which i have to report later for, at 0545 on the other side of Singapore on 31st), The microsoft challenge thing and RMUN.

Well, i'm really thankful for being allowed to participate in RMUN. Maybe i should have chosen my second "CCA" as debate rather than IT? I'm not too sure as well, but debate has been something of my interest since secondary one.

Overall, RMUN was great. The dinner and dance thing was the highlight of the night. It's really interesting and it's like what you see on television of American schools. We were supposed to take a stick of chocolate(the swirly ones) and inside the chocolate is a slip of paper containing the opposite sex's name. And well, that's suppose to be your date. Had a great time dancing especially and getting the feel. I learned the basics of moonwalking as well. It's nice to dance with someone, or everyone.

RMUN indeed is somewhat a socialising opportunity as proven by the many scandals that have been observed. I should start reading more about the world so that in future if there's any MUNs that i can join, i would have a better grasp on the world's issues.

Alright, that's about all. Hope i survive tomorrow, i would finish writing my song, post the pictures up soon..courtesy of Dave.

The delegate yields the floor back to the chair.
That is in order.
